As always, I’ll start my note with a big Thank You. For your kindness to our crew, for being a loyal customer, and most of all, for choosing to do business with Don’s Lawn Care. I’ll continue to do everything I can to make that the best lawn care decision you’ve ever made.
It’s a funny thing in business. You’ve been doing something for 30+ years and, although you continue to learn and hone your skills, you feel you have a pretty good handle on expecting the unexpected and adapting accordingly.
And then something happens that reminds you why business is tough no matter how long you’ve been at it.
When Don’s Lawn Care mailed out our Spring letter last year, we were excited about a couple changes that had been in the works for a few years and were now coming to fruition. Within a matter of weeks, one of those changes had already shown to be a winner.
Unfortunately, the other didn’t.
Aside from obvious disappointment (and a little scrambling), the perfectionist in me still believes there was more I could’ve done to minimize the impact felt by our customers. However, in looking back at the season as a whole, I’m still very proud of the job done by our crew. Working with new, sometimes less experienced people can be a challenge for customers, fellow crew members, and managers. Despite that, we never ended a day with a customer’s task unfinished.
Now, going into 2016, we’re excited to be fully adjusted and settled into last year’s changes.
• We’re adding an additional crew member to make sure our current customers continue to receive the same level of service they expect from Don’s Lawn Care. Paul comes to us with significant landscaping experience already and will fit in nicely with the current crew.
• We continue to upgrade our email billing and communications. Please make sure you let us know if we need to add/update your email address.
• ***Spring clean-ups will begin March 28th (weather permitting).
